Elizabeth Yoseph

Attorney

Elizabeth (Elsa) Yoseph joined Hilliard Law in 2025. She currently serves as the firm's Intake Attorney & Case Generator, where she identifies, evaluates, and develops new cases for the firm’s litigation docket, while also managing operations to ensure a strong, efficient intake pipeline. She is committed to providing clients with compassionate guidance and clear communication from their very first point of contact with the firm.

Elsa initially served as a Contract Attorney supporting Hilliard on the landmark Video Game Addiction project. She reviewed high volumes of cases, applying nuanced screening criteria, managing client outreach, and assisting with drafting and preparing complaints for filing. This experience sharpened her instincts for fact evaluation, client communication, and case development by turning complex information into actionable legal insights.

Elsa is a first-generation Ethiopian-American licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia (2024). She earned her Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School (2023). Elsa interned with NOAA's Office of General Counsel and completed a semester at the school's nonprofit legal services clinic. She also continued her work with NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, serving as lead scientist and author of research later published in a peer-reviewed journal. Elsa holds a Master of Science, magna cum laude, from Bard College (2023), and a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from the University of New England (2007).

With an interdisciplinary background spanning law, science, and regulatory compliance, Elsa brings a unique perspective to her work. Prior to joining Hilliard, she spent over a decade advising federal agencies–EPA, GSA, and NASA–on regulatory compliance, environmental liability, and science policy matters, giving her the ability to translate technical materials for both clients and legal teams, bridge law with domain-specific knowledge, and contribute meaningfully across subject areas. She is dedicated to applying her skillset to ensure that every client receives attentive and thorough representation while supporting the firm’s broader mission of delivering justice in complex and high-stakes cases.
