Hilliard Law employees take Dr. Seuss’s wise words to heart spending the morning reading to students.
Six dedicated employees (dressed like the Cat in The Hat) took part in National Read Across America Day at Travis Elementary School in Corpus Christi, TX.
Hilliard Law partnered with United Way for the special reading – and as a result was able to donate a book to every student read to at Travis Elementary.
Corpus Christi Independent School District had community leaders and business owners from across the city volunteer at dozens of schools to read to students and share the joy of a good book.
Nearly 30 years ago, The National Education Association (NEA) started the Read Across America program to motivate children to read and eventually foster a love of literacy year-round. The date, March 2nd, is Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
